VUP starts three Cisco courses in seven cities of Pakistan

LAHORE: On the directions of Secretary Information Technology and Telecommunication Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, the Virtual University of Pakistan has introduced subsidized entry and associate level cisco courses in the country.  Aimed to equip and train its students with the latest ICT technologies in collaboration with world-renowned ICT players.

According to the spokesperson VUP, the offered courses were based on Cyber Security Essentials network which included on Cyber Security, CyberOps Associate and CCNAv7. These courses were comprising over one month, two months and four months respectively. He said that initially these courses were offered in seven cities of Pakistan includes Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Multan, Quetta and Peshawar.

The spokesperson added that the registration process has been started and it would be opened till 14th October 2020 whereas session would be commenced on 19th of October this year.

The Rector, Virtual University Naeem Tariq has said “This initiative reflects the Virtual University’s commitment to enriching the economy with an additional qualified workforce of youngsters educated on European professional standards to learn special skill sets. It would enable them to capitalize on the latest trends evolving in IT,”
