Violators of government Corona SOPs do not deserve any concessions: Commissioner Lahore

Lahore: Two bank branches of each Bank Al Habib and Faisal Bank were sealed on Friday for intense violation of Corona SOPs including 50 percent attendence maintainance.
On the orders of Commissioner Lahore, the Special Squad sealed the two banks’ branches including Bank Al Habib Airport Road and Faisal Bank Canal Park for commiting violations of SOPs and allowing more than 50 percent staff to attend offices.
According to the commissioner’s office, despite the warning, the entire staff of the two banks were present.
The private banks were sealed till Monday for all kinds of activities. Commissioner Lahore Captain (Retd) Muhammad Usman has said that business under Corona SOPs will be completely closed on Saturday and Sunday.
He said that violation of Karuna SOPs is not tolerable in any case. Commissioner Lahore said that strict action would be taken against the violators.
The Commissioner Lahore said that there will be a complete lockdown in Lahore on Saturday and Sunday and all kinds of businesses and markets would remain completely closed.
He said only medical stores, petrol pumps, vaccination centers, dairy, meat and vegetable shops would remain open.
There will also be a complete ban on inter-provincial transport on Saturdays and Sundays. Citizens were requested to purchase essential items on Firday .
The Commissioner said that a record number of precious lives are being lost daily due to Corona virus. Preventing the spread of the corona virus and saving precious lives is a difficult decision to make, he added.
“Support us in making the tough decisions taken in this difficult time.,” he said, adding that it is a difficult time and difficult test, we will definitely defeat the Corona virus. The Commissioner Lahore said that precautionary measures should be taken against Corona at all levels to save the lives.
Meanwhile, The Commissioner Lahore Division and CCPO Ghulam Mehmood Dogar also carried out flag march with law enforcement agencies on the fifth day. The flag march started from Town Hall and passed from Lakshmi Chowk and Railway Station. Inside Lahore, police checked posts and barriers in the areas of Misri Shah. Army, Rangers and police troops took part in the flag march to create awareness among the citizens about Corona SOPs. The Commissioner Lahore and CCPO Lahore checked Shah Alam and other densely populated markets on foot. The commissioner Lahore said that there will be a complete lockdown in Lahore city on Saturday and Sunday. Citizens should be careful. The Commissioner Lahore said that the clear objective of the flag march was that the people have to abide by the Corona SOPs one hundred percent. All businesses will be closed after 6pm. Medical stores, vaccination centers and petrol pumps are exempt from the lockdown, he said adding that the citizens should save their lives so that the life of the entire society would be safe. Capt (retd) Muhammad Usman said that major highways and shopping malls of Lahore were being checked. Violators of government orders do not deserve any concessions, he concluded.
