LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA, Uzma Kardar on Monday removed from Media Strategy Committee (MSC) of Punjab government by the Information Minister of Punjab Fayyazul Hassan Chohan allegedly over audio call leaked that could harm the top political figures of the present government, it has been leant.
In this regard, a notification was issued by the Punjab Information Minister here on Monday and a copy which is available with The Business. According to the notification, Ms Uzma Kardar MPA was removed from Media Strategy Committee of Punjab with immediate effect upon the direction of the competent authority.
An alleged phone call went whirl on social media in Ms Kardar was allegedly heard about discussing some top political figures of PTI from Federal and Punjab Government among others in a series of leaked phone calls.
Earlier, a Journalist Mansoor Ali Khan tweeted that “an audio call recording of someone from the present government could surface very soon and become very embarrassing for the PTI government,”. He updated following his first tweet that “the recording was done to start a malicious campaign against the person who was being trapped. Who recorded it and why? The right to take legal action,”. Khan said that the recording has been carefully edited to omit the voice of another person on the call so that his identity wasn’t revealed.
In his tweet, Senior Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan said that “indecorous words against First-Lady are deplorable which are strongly condemned. No one who does the same isn’t eligible for PTI or any government authority. Prime Minister Imran Khan and his family are very respectable to us and any kind of immoral rhetoric against them is intolerable,”
Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development, Zulfi Bukhari also responded about Uzam Kardar leaked phone call and said that “one can’t expect her to understand the calibre of First Lady but it is extremely shameful of Uzma Kardar to be talking behind her back. PM and First Lady’s respect comes foremost for all of us. Embarrassing behaviour from anyone who claims to be associated with the party,”.
When this reporter contacted with Ms Uzma Kardar to get her point of view about her leaked phone call about top political figures of her party but she wasn’t available for comments despite repeated attempts by this reporter.
Later, in his video message through FB, Uzma Kardar clarified that the audio call which went whirl on social media through the anonymous account. She said that the said call was a personal conversation and it was leaked after mixing fake voiceovers to damage her political career and respect she earned during this period. Ms Kardar maintained that she will take legal action against those who are involved.
