UBER intends to launch bus and ambulance service in Punjab


LAHORE: Head of international affairs at Uber ridesharing company Matthew Devlin called on Provincial Minister for Trade and Industry Mian Aslam Iqbal at PBIT office here on Friday and discussed various matters including the problems, investment in Punjab and future roadmap. Matthew Devlin informed the Minister that Uber intends to enhance its investment in Punjab by launching bus and ambulance service. We want to achieve the target of creating five lakh employment opportunities through investment, he added.

Mian Aslam appreciated the investment offer and assured that every possible cooperation will be extended. Punjab government is following a comprehensive program to increase socio-economic activities in the province. He directed that meeting should be arranged between the transport department and Uber company officials adding that creating employment opportunities through investment is our strategy. He further directed to present a comprehensive presentation about investment in Pakistan, especially in the Punjab province. CEO PBIT Jahanzeb Barana was also present on the occasion.
