Sanitiser walk-through gate installed at vegetable market

LAHORE: A sanitiser walk-through gate, installed at the entrance of vegetable and fruit market Layyah, was inaugurated by Chief Minister’s Special Politic al Assistant Syed Rafaqat Ali Gillani on Saturday. Deputy Commissioner Azfar Zia, District Police Officer (DPO) Hassan Iqbal and other officers were also present, says a handout issued here. Syed Rafaqat said that the gate would disinfect the hair, clothes and hands of people who would pass through it. He said  more gates wouldb e installed in various parts of the district.  He urged people to adopt preventivea nd precautionary measures to avoidc oronavirus. He said that the governmentw as taking all necessary steps to protect people from the virus.

Cadets’ passing out parade held at Kakul

The passing out parade of cadets of 41 Long Course, 60th Integrated Course, 10th Mujahid Course and 15th Lady Cadets Course was held at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul on Saturday. Cadets from Sri Lanka, Iraq, Palestinea nd Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were alsoa mong the passed out cadets. InspectorG eneral Training and Evaluation( IGT&E), Lieutenant General Sher Afgan was the chief guest on the occasion, said a press statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The IGT& E reviewed the parade andg ave awards to distinguished cadets. TLTP Police detain 46 persons, secretly transported in truck to BannuT he Jamshoro police detained 46 per-s ons who were being secretly transportedi n a truck to Bannu from Karachi in the wee hours of Saturday. The SSP Jamshoro Amjad Shaikhw hile confirming the detention informedt hat the 15 emergency police received at ip-off about the goods transport vehicle which was illegally transporting the people. He added that when the police stopped the vehicle on the highway near Jamshoro they found the people cramped in the vehicle. “Four persons among them were almost partially unconscious due to suffocation,” he said. The SSP told that the detained persons were laborers who worked in Karachi but they all belonged to Bannu.
