No NGO to be registered without CTD’ NOC: Cheema

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Punjab Muhammad Ajmal Cheema chaired a high level meeting of all divisional directors and deputy directors of the department.
While addressing the meeting provincial minister said that we all have gathered here to review our working during last few months and to devise an effective strategy for better future performance.
He said that all of us think about the benefits of ourselves but now it’s time to do something for others, for the people who need our support. Muhammad Ajmal Cheema told that he trust his team and wished them to come out with their best. The names for district advisory councils were also discussed in the meeting. Talking on the occasion provincial minister directed all divisional directors to conduct complete scrutiny before issuing disability certificate to a person.
He further directed that no NGO Would be registered without taking NOC form Counter Terrorism Department. Chairperson Punjab Women Protection Authority Kaneez Fatima, Secretary Social Welfare Ambreen Raza, Director General Social Welfare, Kiran Afshan Imtiaz and all other divisional directors and deputy directors attended the meeting.
Punjab okays uplift schemesin
its PDWP Forum
The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved five development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of Rs. 12152.032 million.
These schemes were approved in the 30th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2018-19 presided over the Chairman P&D Habib ur Rehman Gilani. Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all Members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries of concerned departments and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
The approved development schemes included Provision of Missing Specialties for Up-Gradation of DHQ Hospital into Teaching Hospital D.G. Khan (Revised) at the cost of Rs. 5,482.000 million, Establishment of 200 Bedded Mother & Child Hospital and Nursing College, District Mianwali at the cost of Rs. 4,074.066 million, Dualization of Taxila to HMC Farooqia Road, Length = 10.80 km, Tehsil Taxila, District Rawalpindi at the cost of Rs. 1,117.000 million, Dualization of T.H.A.T Road from Jahania Chowk to Hattian via Motorway Interchange Length = 17.60 km, Attock (Revised) at the cost of Rs. 991.683 million and Construction of Arifwala Bypass, Length = 11.80 km, Pakpattan (Revised) at the cost of Rs. 487.283 million.
