Hamdard Foundation distributes 1,000 ration bags among needy families

LAHORE: The Hamdard Foundation on Monday distributed 1,000 ration packages amongst the needy families of Lahore in order to provide food to those who stay indoors due to COVID-19.

In this regard, ration bags were delivered through Hamdard Free Dispensary vehicles in different areas, including Kot Lakhpat, Mazang, Johar Town, Sabzazar, and Tayyaba Colony and other areas of Lahore.

According to the spokesperson of Hamdard Foundation, Syed Ali Bukhari, the Foundation is playing a significant role to provide relief ration, especially to all those deserving families across Pakistan who had been affected by the lockdown. All the best possible efforts are being made by the Foundation to provide relief to the poorest people of the country, Bukhari said.

Bukhari also said that some volunteers severing in different public sectors are also providing assistance to the Foundation to find out those white colour people who really deserve this package. He said that one of the volunteers namely ‘Ali Bahi’ provided a list of the needy families of Kot Lakhpat after visiting door-to-door of the area. They also distributed ration bags amongst the 50 deserving families with the help of local community volunteers, includes Muhammad Husnain Mirza, Iqbal Butt and Muhammad Faisal, said the spokesperson.

At this occasion, Chairperson of Hamdard Foundation Sadia Rashid and Founding Chairperson Public Relations Welfare Association (PRWA) said that the Foundation has an affirmed belief on the welfare of public health, well-being of whole humanity (love for humanity) promotion of education and learning and above all dedicated to serving the masses of Pakistan.

The Chairperson emphasized that all donors should prefer helping all those white-collar people, who don’t spread their hand before anyone and they are in large number in our society.
