CM takes notice of polio case detection in Lahore

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has sought a report from the Health Department about the detection of a polio case in Lahore. He has also expressed indignation with the administration and concerned agencies adding that detection of a polio case in Lahore is a very shameful matter. The Chief Minister directed the concerned departments to accelerate the comprehensive steps taken for the eradication of polio. He said that concerned departments will have to give results through coordinated efforts. He also directed to launch a comprehensive campaign for the awareness of steps taken for the eradication of polio. The Chief Minister said that he will not tolerate any negligence in anti-polio efforts. Protecting the future-builders of the nation from fatal diseases like polio is our collective responsibility and making Pakistan and the Punjab polio-free is our mission. Concerned departments will have to efficiently perform to save the children from polio, he added.

Firefighters’ Day
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that firefighters perform the duty of saving the people from fire-related incidents by putting their lives in danger and added that their role in decreasing damages to life and property is important.
In his message, the Chief Minister said that modern training is important so that the firefighters could better manage the incidents and their professional skills will play an important role in this regard. Punjab government is providing the best possible resources and steps have been taken to give the latest training to Rescue-1122 staff. He said that the scope of this service is being devolved to the grassroots.
The Chief Minister said that Punjab government pays tributes to the firefighters who have rendered invaluable services for overcoming the incidents of fire. The purpose of observing this day is to pay tributes to such brave persons who take part in rescue operations and we also reiterate our commitment that steps will be taken for minimising the arson-related incidents, the Chief Minister concluded.
Another reports ads: Spokesman to Chief Minister Punjab Dr. Shahbaz Gill has said that Nawaz Sharif did not avail all those medical facilities which were offered by Punjab government to him as his motive was not to get medical treatment but to escape from the country. No serious initiative was taken by the Sharif family during the six weeks of bail period of Nawaz Sharif. He said that Punjab government has shown more concern regarding Nawaz Sharif’s treatment then Sharif family. Shahbaz Gill said that Nawaz Sharif merely visited Sharif Medical complex for few tests, which is situated in front of his residence, whereas a complete cardiac unit was setup for him in the jail. He was also offered to avail medical facility from any hospital of the country. He said that before Nawaz Sharif’s bail, Maryam Nawaz politicize his health issues on social media on daily basis whereas during the last six weeks she tweeted only thrice on her father’s health. He said that nation want to ask her that which kind of illness PML-N leadership has which can only be cured in London. He said that Nawaz Sharif has not yet being succeeded in escape from the country however, Shehbaz Sharif managed to flee. Dr. Shehbaz expressed hoped that PML-N leadership will honor the decision of judiciary in the same way which they had shown when the decision came in their favor. He said that Prime Minister Pakistan Imran Khan and Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar have clearly directed that all out medical facilities should be provided to the Nawaz Sharif.
