LAHORE: A delegation from the Cultural Journalist Foundation of Pakistan (CJFP), led by the President of CJFP Tahir Bukhari visited the Lahore Arts Council (LAC) and met with its Executive Director Ms Saman Rai at her office on Friday.
According to the Spokesperson of LAC Subha Sadiq, the delegation was comprised over Thaker Lahori, Shajar-Ud-Din, Ms Naveen Ali, Qaser Ifikhar and Azeem Waqar. The delegates were briefed by Saman Rai about the ongoing cultural activities and efforts were being made for online promotion of culture.
The Executive Director informed the delegates that due to COVI-19, the LAC was bringing all the fields related to art online so that the service of art and culture can be continued even while sitting at home. Ms Rai maintained that the Lahore Arts Council truly acknowledged the positive role of CJFP and other journalistic and cultural organizations in beautifying social life.
The delegates aid that Alhamra was a prime institution for the protection and nurture of literature and culture. They also appreciated the hard work of Alhamra Arts Council to promote art and artists.
Both sides agreed on people-to-people contacts to further strengthen bilateral relations. The CJFP and LAC also agreed to explore opportunities in arts, literature and other cultural dimensions.
