ISLAMABAD, (TLTP): Federal Law Minister Dr. Farogh Nasim Thursday expressed that better amendments would be introduced in laws of National Accountability Bureau.
While talking to a private news channel, Dr.Nasim said the NAB should not be made a toothless institution saying plea-bargain law of the top anti-graft body should remain in the field but it ought not to be misused.
Dr.Nasim was of the view that Pakistan People’s Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz during their tenures did not amend any laws of the NAB but they are now making uproar on its investigation process.
Responding to a question, the Federal Minister rejected any National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) in the country, adding the 18th Amendment could be improved. Dr.Nasim denied any role of government in Joint Investigation Team on fictitious bank account cases whereas he said while commenting on military courts saying it was imperative to extend the period of these courts.
