LAHORE: The Deputy Commissioner Lahore, Ms Saliha Saeed has said that the Rescue Services are role model for all of us. She said that Rescue 1122 is the best model organization among public sector which is providing services to the citizens on same standards in all districts of Punjab as she had witnessed in district Hafizabad.
She was addressing to a ceremony of Motorbike Ambulance Service (MAS) held at Punjab Emergency Service, Lahore Command & Control Center, Ferozepur Road, Lahore here on Monday. It was organized to review the performance of Motorbike Ambulance Service over managing one lac emergencies and experiences sharing from the field staff to further improve Emergency Response in Lahore.
DC Lahore Saliha Saeed appreciated the DG Rescue Punjab and his entire team over this unique initiative of MAS and its exemplary performance. “It is pride for me to inform that Rescue Lahore has managed over 100,000 emergencies with average response time of 4 minutes, she said, adding that not only the service has been providing sense of safety to the citizens but also rendering its best services. She said that city district government Lahore would also give away cash award to the best team of MAS the metropolitan.
While speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rizwan Naseer appreciated the staff of the MAS’s staff for discharging services to the helpless victims of over 100,000 accidents and emergencies. He said that MAS has also improved significantly its response time during traffic jams and congested areas with narrow streets to traffic crashes & medical emergencies. The operational staff also shared their experiences and said when they respond to emergencies within 4 minutes and rescue them without discrimination. “There is no substitute for the prayers returning from the hearts of those victims and they get motivation form prayers to serve humanity despite all challenges,” they remarked. The Motorbike Ambulance Service was started from Lahore in 10th October, 2017 and then it extended into in all remaining divisional headquarters of Punjab.
The MAS has responded to 69980 road traffic crashes, 20538 medical emergencies, 1992 emergencies of slipping or fall from height, 5320 occupational emergencies, 794 emergencies of electric shock, delivery and animal rescue, 13 cases of drowning, 1461 crime emergencies, 987 fire cases, 17 incidents of building collapse and other misc. emergencies. At the end DG Rescue Punjab along with DC Lahore gave away the appreciation certificates to the best staff of the Motorbike Ambulance Service.
