IGP takes notice of kidnapping of woman in Gujranwala

LAHORE: According to the report this was an issue of domestic dispute between husband and wife and no woman was kidnapped.

it is further stated in report that after getting the news of abduction police party visited security office of the city housing scheme and in inquiry it was revealed that the relevant house No 201/EE is owned by Malik Muhamad Yousaf who has rented it to Ali Raza Butt via property dealer Malik Asghar, and Ali Raza gave the house to a stage actress Mishal. According to the report actress has links with many individuals and among these is Muhammad Nafees Meher.
Someone told Meher’s wife that her husband has second wife in city housing scheme, upon which she reached the above mentioned house and started fighting with her husband. Nafees Meher slapped his wife and took her to home by forcefully dragging her into the car. For further investigations Nafees Meher and Ali Butt has been called to Sadar Police Station Gujranwala. No one has yet submitted any application for further legal action; anyhow police is investigating the matter and will take action accordingly.

Police arrest 104 criminals

Lahore Police (Civil Lines Division) in its crackdown against the criminals arrested as many as 104 criminals and recovered 09 pistols, bullets, more than 01kg of Charas and 10 liters of liquor.
SP Civil Lines Division Safdar Raza Kazmi had directed concerned DSPs and SHOs to take strict action against criminal gangs. Accordingly Civil Lines Division Police busted 02 gangs of criminals and arrested its 04 members, recovering 01 lakh and 50 thousands from them.

Police also recovered more than 83 thousands of rupees from the criminals in its successful action against gamblers. Moreover 06 Proclaimed Offenders of A&B category, where as 09 Court Offenders were arrested. Civil Lines Division Police also arrested 37 criminals for violating Kite Flying, One Wheeling, Aerial Firing, Loudspeaker and Price Control Acts.

PHP registers 195 cases against commuters Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) registered 195 cases against commuters who paid no heeds to traffic rules, arrested 100 persons on using fake registration or green number plates, arrested 05 under violation of sound system act, arrests 08 drunk persons disturbing public peace, apprehended 25 Gamblers and recovered cash Rs.64912/-, arrested 2 persons harboring Proclaim Offender. In detail: Patrolling Police registered 195 cases against traffic violators who paid no heads to traffic rules.

While seized 100 motor bikes on using fake registration or green number plates. PHP team registered 05 cases against sound system violators. PHP team arrested 08 drunker namely Muhammad Akram, Muhammad Amir, Farooq, Farhan, Ali, Sajjad, Talha and Ali Raza who were disturbing public peace Patrolling Police arrests 25 gamblers Yasir Hanif, Waqar, Fazal, Jamal Khan, Gull Dastgeer, Raaj Muhammad, Muhammad Hussain, Raheem Khan, Abid, Saleem, Mehrab, Hamid, Naveed, Bablu, Farhan, Rajab Ali, Sajid, Iqbal, Abdul Rehman, Qasir, Jibran, Farhan, Amjad Ali, Amir Rafique from different places and recovered cash Rs.64912 from them and arrested 2 persons Tahir Abbas, Sageer Hussain harboring Proclaim Offender. Furthermore, PHP team arrested 51 culprits on fixing prohibited gas cylinders.
