LAHORE: Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Lahore on Sunday on a day-long visit where he will chair a meeting of the Punjab cabinet.
The prime minister will meet Punjab chief minister Usman Buzdar and Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar during his visit. He will also meet members of the Punjab media committee.
During the visit, the prime minister will be briefed about the investigations carried out in Sahiwal killings in which four people were shot dead in an alleged encounter.
Earlier, the premier had vowed reforms in Punjab police after the Sahiwal incident. In a Twitter post, PM Imran wrote he would not only ensure the guilty are given exemplary punishment but also “review the entire structure of Punjab police and start process of reforming it.”
“I assure the nation that not only will the guilty be given exemplary punishment but I will review the entire structure of Punjab police and start process of reforming it,” he had tweeted.
