Minister Labour opens  online collection system

LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Labour & Human Resources Ansar Majeed
Khan has inaugurated the Punjab Employees’ Social Security
Institutions online collection system. Secretary Labour Sara Aslam,
Commissioner Punjab Employees’ Social Security Institution Saqib
Manan, Chairman P&D and PITB Habib-ur-Rehman, Bank of Punjab
representative Waqar Anees and officers of PITB in large number
participated. Launching ceremony of monthly contribution portal was
arranged at Arfa Karim Tower. Provincial Minister for Labour & Human
Resources Ansar Majeed Khan has said on this occasion that the basic
purpose of this mobile application is to facilitate the business
community and labourers. This is prime priority of government to
provide basic rights to labourers. Announcement of labour policy,
initiative to eradicate child labour and online collection system are
the main targets of 100 days agenda. According to the vision of Prime
Minister Imran Khan, all departments are trying to provide maximum
facilities for public. We are monitoring all initiatives directly for
basic rights of labours in commercial institutions.

Chairman Planning & Development and Punjab Information Board
Habib-ur-Rehman has said on this occasion that this mobile app has
been designed in short time with the help of PESSI, PITB and Bank of
Punjab to facilitate public maximum. Now employees can avail any
online facility without any hassle. Commissioner Punjab Employees’
Social Security Institutions Saqib Manaan has said on this occasion
that all data on this app is managed to facilitate employees and
commercial community. Additional Director General PITB Saima Sheikh
has briefed salient features of this mobile app. Vice Chairman PESSI
Kalsoom Saqib, Saima Sheikh and Waqar Anees signed MoU. Provincial
Minister for Labour & Human Resources distributed certificates and
shields among officers for performing best in designing this mobile
app.

Meanwhile, labour teams have recovered 60 child during grand operation
against child labour in 434 inspections in all over Punjab. All action
was taken on the direction of Secretary Labour Sara Aslam.
On this occasion, Secretary Labour Sara Aslam has said that 47 FIRs
have been registered against accused involved in child labour. All
labour inspectors have been directed to take stern action against
child labour in the province. Accused involved in child labour do not
deserve any compromise.
