Properties and lives of the citizens of Punjab will be protected and writ of state will be ensured at any cost and no subversive and anti-state element will be spared, in this regard. A strict action will be taken against those culprits who are involved in heinous crimes and a massive crackdown will be initiated against the drug peddlers causing spoiling the future of young generation and such drug pushers will be punished strictly, stated by Inspector General of Police Punjab while addressing a video linked RPO Conference held at Central Police Office, Lahore, today.
Addl: IG training Tariq Masood Yaseen, Addl: IG Operations Azhar Hameed khokhar, Addl: IG Investigation Abu Bakar Khuda Baksh, Addl: IG Elite Force Shahid Hanif, Addl: IG Welfare and Finance Rao Sardar, Commandant Punjab Constabulary Kanwar Shah Rukh , Addl: IG CTD Rai Muhammad Tahir, DIG Special branch Zaeem Iqbal Sheikh, DIG SPU Sultan Ahmad Chaudhary, DIG Establishment Sajjad Hasan Khan Manj, DIG R&D Faisal Ali Rana, DIG Telecommunication Shahid Javed, AIG Logistics Rai Babar Saeed, DPO Muzafargarh Imran Kishwar, DPO Okara Athar Ismael Amjad, AIG finance Ghazi Salaudin and all RPOs and DPOs attended the conference through video link.
Conference decided to start massive crack down and strict action against the drug peddlers who sell drugs to students in educational institutions including universities, medical colleges, government schools and other private institutions. All these culprits and anti-social elements will be dealt with iron hands, directed by the IGP.
It was also decided in the conference to conduct audit of all sections including Investigation, Special Protection Unit, CTD, PHP, Special branch, Punjab Constabulary, Training, Traffic and Dolphins. All field officers were directed to complete audit process within a week and submit report to IGP.
The conference also decided to demolish all private constructions at the police’s lands immediately and all encroachments must be removed so that the welfare projects could be started and no leniency and negligence in this regard will be accepted, directed by the PPO.
It was also decided that no recruitment will be made without bio metric verification in future. It has also been decided that no SHO can display his name on Police Station Boards. Identical Police Station boards across Punjab will be displayed in beginning and ending points of police stations to facilitate the general public.
It has been decided that loud speaker act under national action plan should be implemented and strict action against violators, decided the conference.
Security of Chinese Engineers in connection with CPEC and other projects has been beefed up, decided the conference. All RPOs and DPOs were directed to personally monitor the security of Chinese experts in their respective districts and no negligence in this regard will be accepted, directed Amjad Javed Saleemi.
Progress regarding the establishment of Resource Management System in all districts was reviewed in detail in the conference. AIG Logistics Rai Babar Saeed told the IGP that all resource management centers have been linked up with CPO through a software and inventory of all items including weapons, uniforms, bullet proof jackets, equipments of anti riot force and other weapons have been digitized through which transparency could be ensured.
IG Punjab was further told that Khidmat Marakaz have been integrated into all 36 districts and health minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid have been communicated for integration of Khidmat Counters with DHQ hospitals.
To protect the valuable lives of the force from dangerous deceases and to provide them healthy environment, it was decided that Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plants will be installed immediately in all Police Lines of the province and the project will be completed within a one week.
If any police official get seriously ill, he immediately will be provided medical assistance to secure his life and field officers were directed immediately to contact Addl: IGP Finance and Welfare, Rao Sardar in case of shortage of funds, decided the conference.
The conference also decided that the latest and modern investigation methods techniques through a training workshop will be arranged by the Addl: IGP Trinaing, Tariq Masood Yasin across Punjab so that the pendency in this regard may be covered and judicial process could be completed in time by ensuring the timely justice to the citizens of Punjab.
At the end IGP and all Punjab police officers thanked Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan for appreciating the overall performance of Punjab police.
