By  Azhar Ul Haq Wahid

LAHORE: Almost all the members of the districts of Punjab Football Association Congress (PFA) announced their support for the President and candidate of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat in election at a press conference held here on Tuesday. Pakistan Football Referee Association (PFRA) was also part of the press conference.

According to details, the PFF election divided PFAC into groups. PFF has already faced three years ban under such circumstances and now things are same in the name of election.

Speaking on the occasion, Member of Congress of PFA Colonel Ejaz said that President of PFA Sardar Naveed Haider moved into camp of the opposition of PFA and is now creating trouble in Football Federation affairs. He also said that Sardar nominated Amir Dogar for the presidential election of PFF without taking into confidence the executive committee. The PFA constitution approved by FIFA does not allow anyone to take part in presidential election if he is not the member of the executive committee.

Colonel Ejaz further said that the nominated Returning Officer (RO) of the Supreme Court of Pakistan is showing biasness with the panel of Makdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat.  He also appealed to Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice of current situation and give directions for conducting fair elections of PFF.

President PFRA Abdul Bari said that Faisal Saleh Hayat is the only man who can serve Pakistani football and he did great services for football in Pakistan.

Mian Bari further added that Naveed Haider is once again pushing Pakistan towards FIFA suspension. He criticised the role of RO Shoaib Shaheen.  President of Bahawalpur Football Association (BFA) Sheikh Iqbal said that PFF is doing good job under the supervision of Faisal Saleh Hayat.

Member of PFA congress said that Sardar Naveed Haider’s candidate Amir Dogar is not eligible to be the candidate of the PFF presidential elections under the constitution.

The member of PFA said that RO is not been impartial, instead he is constantly violating PFF constitution through his actions.
