Law and order situation of city under control DIG Operations

Circle officers and SHOs ordered to take stern action against anti-social elements


LAHORE: DIG Operations Lahore Muhammad Waqas Nazir has said that overall law and order situation of the city is under control. All divisional SPs, DSPs and SHOs reviewed security arrangements of sensitive installation in their respective areas. Citizens can move anywhere in the city without any hesitation. Police will take stern
action for creating any law and order situation by anyone. Police reserves are ready to face any circumstances. Section 144 will be implemented hundred percent in the city.

Meanwhile, SP Cantt Division Asif Amin has directed all circle
officers and SHOs to take stern action against anti social elements.
Cantt division police has made very comprehensive strategy for action
against criminals involved in street crimes, dacoity, burgulary and
heinous crime. Cantt division operations Police has issued the
statistics of action against criminals of last 10 months. Cantt
Division has arrested 8871 accused involved in street crime, decoity,
robbery, drug peddling, gambling and other crimes. 817 pistols, 80
rifles, 22 kalashankof, 60 guns, 12 Carbines, 01 dagger and more than
Seventeen thousands bullets have been recovered from their procession.
Police has recovered 17169 bottles of liquor, more than 7kg heroin,
383kg charas and more than 8kg opium from drug peddlers. On secret
information, 15 lacs rupees have been recovered from gamblers. More
than 1929 accused have been booked for violation of one wheeling,
Arial firing, rental act and sound system act. Special teams have been
constituted for the arrest of hardcore criminals involved in heinous
crimes. Report will be written against those officers who will not
show progress.
