Lithuania envoy agrees to enhance bilateral trade, offer expertise to Pakistan

LAHORE: Lithuania Ambassador to Turkey who visited Lahore Chamber of
Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has agreed to enhance bilateral trade and
offer its expertise in every field of life to Pakistan.
He was speaking to traders and industrialist at the LCCI, Lahore on Wednesday
He said that his country has expertise and knowledge which can import
from Lithuania in order to enhance bilateral trade and benefit from
the expertise and Knowledge.

He said that Lithuanian can off Pakistan its expertise in filed
especially including water management, in agriculture and IT sector.

“We have several fields of interests. We can use and exchange our
expertise and knowledge with Pakistan especially in water management,
agriculture and it sector. We can also offer very well developed
financial sector products” he said adding that Lithuania can be a
gateway for Pakistan to enter in to the European markets.

“We can also share our innovation, experience as we have five major
research and development centers which are working in specific fields
including life science, machinery, and other such knowledge with the
Pakistani counterparts,” the ambassador added.

“We actually wanted to enhance bilateral trade with the nations as our
trade balance is negligible actually, especially with Pakistan,” the
ambassador told Daily The Business on the sidelines of the meeting.

He said that Lithuania has proficiency in making physicians, engineers
and agriculturalists and she has developed technologies to serve the
areas under cultivation,” he said, adding that “We defiantly have very
developed technology for agricultural development.

LCCI SVP Khawaja Shahzad Nasir and VP Faheem Seghal welcoming the
Lithuania Ambassador’s offers termed it a good move for the economic
development and excellence in various walks of life. He appreciated
the Lithuania gesture towards Pakistan.

On the Occasion, Algis Dabkus, Ambassador at Large, Kristina
Babiciene, First secretary/ Economics, Masuad M Khan, Consul General,
members LCCI Awais Piracha, Amjad Ali Jawa, Mian Zahid and others were
present on the occasion.
